The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners…–Isaiah 61:1
Trauma is debilitating. Domestic violence, sexual abuse, trafficking, verbal abuse, and oppression are all causes of trauma. It can silence us. We have all witnessed trauma in the pandemic, and it has isolated us. Our communities for years have witnessed helplessly unanswered racial violence. We invite you to witness artists’ creative presentations. They give VOICE to the unspeakable, memorialize freedom from a broken heart, and praise to the lovingkindness of our Deliverer, through the mediums of art. VOICE 2022 art exhibit is an opportunity for you to ‘hear’ healing from trauma through the many mediums of the artists. It is an opportunity to learn, support, and encourage healing through Christ from His people who share their lived experience. We pray you are moved to find healing in Christ who came to set free the oppressed and bind the broken hearted. Come hear their VOICES.
