  1. Our Mission - We exist to make the love of Jesus Christ real and relevant throughout Washington County and the world, by seeking the lost, discipling the saved and equipping the body of Christ for ministry. We seek the lost by equipping our members with skills to share the Gospel (Acts 29). The Story is the tool that we use for sharing the Gospel. We disciple the saved through various classes (New Members, Bible studies) and Right Now Media. We equip the body through workshops, conferences, Sunday morning worship.
  1. Our Vision - To be a Bible based, praying, diverse community of believers committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that lives are transformed for His cause and for His purpose. Our focus is on introducing people to Jesus Christ.
  1. Our values - God's Word, prayer, people, community, relationships, missions, outreach.
  1. We are mission minded - We prayerfully and financially support one of our young men who serves as co-director of YFC Washington Branch. We prayerfully and financially supported a missionary on foreign soil last year as she traveled to the Philippines to provide an alternative way of living while sharing the Gospel. We have a friendship/partnership with a Pastor in Haiti who runs an orphanage, school and church now during a time of lawlessness. We have financially and prayerfully supported his cause. Over the last year, we have sent funds to Voices of the Martyrs to send Bibles to areas where Christianity is restricted/forbidden, Samaritans Purse to assist those affected by hurricanes in the Carolinas and to communities and a church devastated by the CA wildfires.
  1. Outreach - Our Dorcas Ministry visits female half-way houses every Christmas to deliver gifts and share the Gospel with those who reside there. We reach out into the community through our Clothing Ministry which provides gently used clothing to those in need. We partner with other entities to provide free hot lunches to children in a lower income housing plan during the summer. We invite the community to one of our worship services that takes place in the parking lot behind our church. We also provide a meeting place for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and Al-Anon.
  1. We care for the body of Christ - We have a system of wellness where our Deacons are assigned to care for households within the body. Members and visitors get small gifts for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter. We plan an outing together annually. Our sick and shut in are provided with in home communion every month as well as a quarterly newsletter, cards of encouragement and a Daily Bread. We provide grief booklets for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, four booklets are sent to the individual over the course of a year after the loss.
  1. We are a multi-generational church - our youngest regular attendee is 9 months old, and our oldest active member is 90 years old. We have all ages in between that worship very well together. We have an active Youth Ministry that meets every third Sunday to provide Biblical teaching to our children.
  1. We gather together every Sunday at 9:30am for Sunday School and at 10:45am for our morning worship service. Our worship services are approximately 1-1.5 hours long with multiple genres of music shared (hymns, gospel, contemporary and Christian rap). The preaching/teaching is Biblical, relevant and practical. Our congregation is very Word literate.
  1. We have 20 active ministries at this time.
  1. Our Pastor has remained actively engaged with the Canonsburg - Houston Ministerial Association which has participated in community worship services, participated in a health fair with an emphasis on the spiritual needs of those who attend, and invited the community to engage in prayer.
